Chocolate pudding anyone?

Food at the cafeteria isn't anything to talk about. Its best left unspoken about...So i made up my mind the afternoon, I'd get back home today and treat myself to something sweet!!! ...Remember my weekend cheesecake plans? And how they crashed? Anyway, I had to satisfy my sweet tooth. On my way back home, I planned, I'd drop my Notebook and go get some Blueberry cheesecake from Baker's Basket. However.. my roommate buzzed me, sayin the store guy would be home to assemble the new cupboard...

So i get home, drop my bag and watch him assemble the cupboard. He completes his work, gets the details filled in his record book..I get a copy for my roommate, thank him and he goes away.
Now I'm pretty lazy and don't feel like goin out to buy stuff.. but what about my cheesecake..looks like the cheesecake plan would sit on the shelf for another few days..I was laaaaazy...but i soooo wanted to treat myself to some good dessert!..so i looked up stuff in my kitchen...and lo! there's stuff enough to make me a chocolate pudding!..I've never made chocolate pudding...so hopefully this expermient should yield good results...gathered the stuff on the kitchen counter..no chocolate at home. I'd have to make do with drinking chocolate...fair enough..

Stirred the ingredients, set it to cook, continuously stirring, to avoid the pudding from getting burnt...Slowly, I see it turning into a thick and lovely pudding....my taste buds are going bonkers...but hey! even after the pudding is ready, it needs to be chilled before i can eat it..so looks like i'm only gonna be able to relish the pudding tomorrow.

Rich chocolate pudding, set away in the refrigerator..Damn! I gotta wait until tomorrow! And let me tell ya.. when I tasted the pudding after it was made, it was good for a first time attempt...just a tad extra chocolatey flavor. But i'm expecting the flavor to mellow down , after its chilled. So tomorrow...Chocolate pudding anyone?

of work and the weekend!

Drowning! ....No we ain't talkin Backstreet Boys 'Drowning'. That was a nice song and a favorite of buddies in college times...I'm talkin abt work buddy. Drownin in work :(

There's work in loads and less time....
However, it's exciting, because some of the work involves virtual interaction with people from all over. I've long been working with teams spread throughout the world. The communication is usually centered around daily work and the channel is usually emails, office messenger or at times the phone. This time , its more interesting. People from all over the world and from different teams.

It's just the start of a new week, and I can already visualise me, juggling the tasks and ensuring their completion. Wish me luck! And i've already started pining for the weekend, so that I can be utterly lazy and catch up on sleep, that i'd be missing this week.

Talkin about weekends, here's what my weekend looked like...Friday evening, did nothin better..just glued to the laptop, completing my work...Saturday morning was laundry day... A late lunch with my pal and we were watching Se7en on TV. Why Se7en? Cause I'd never watched it before! Dinner time, 2 more friends joined us. Went out for dinner, and I was craving to eat some good dessert. Had Chicken Makhanwala with Butter Roti, followed by some rice. Dessert time now. I was craving for a dessert on the lines of cheesecake, or caramel custard. Unfortunately, the restaurant served only Indian Desserts. There goes my cheesecake dream:(

We opted for Kulfi Falooda. None of us had ever heard of that before...Kulfi yes, Falooda yes..but them together? Never!...
All of us were thinking out loud, on what we expected the dessert to be. The moment the dessert bowls were placed on the table, we were surprised. It was nothing but Kulfi slices topped with the Vermicilli that's usually used in Falooda.
Just in case you are wondering what Kulfi and Falooda are like:

I love Kulfi, but the Vermicilli with Kulfi combination was not good! I managed to fish out the Kulfi slices, leaving behind the Vermicilli. Anyway..

Sunday, I was up at 10:30 am..Was lazy, so went back to sleep...Late lunch..a little bit of reading...sleep...light dinner...spoke to my roomate and her friend until about 1:30 am...time to catch some sleep...

Next morning 6:30am, the alarm buzzes...don't feel like goin to work..but, then, i have to..so here i am at work...and yeah....i'm waiting for the comin weekend.... Anything special? No you silly!... Just wanna be lazy...
