For those who have never had alphabet soup, it's simply a soup with alphabet shaped pasta...
So just drop a few spoons(depending on how much pasta you like in your soup)of alphabets while cooking your favorite soup..
Tell you why i love the alphabet soup...back home, on any given Sunday(sometimes even on other days) mom would prepare soup..she made a hearty soup with lotsa veggies, vegetable stock and a generous helping of alphabet pasta..a spoon of oats would also be mixed along once in a while...sometimes the alphabet pasta would be replaced by spaghetti or macaroni..But when it was alphabet pasta i spent a lotta time relishing the soup...i'd kip picking alphabets that formed my name...i loved the soup as much as i loved picking up alphabets from the soup...I miss the soup...dunno how often my mom makes it now...been away from home for quite a long time now..she does make soup when i'm home, but i can't remember the last time i had alphabet pasta in my soup...maybe it's just that she ends up buying spaghetti or macaroni rather than alphabet pasta..
I really feel like havin alphabet soup today evening...i think there's enough vegetables stocked in the refrigerator..all i need is a vegetable stock cube and the pasta..And i'm hopin i got a packet of pasta on the kitchen shelf..if i'm lucky to find a alphabet pasta packet, i'll stir up the soup and get back to picking up alphabets to form my name or any other word that strikes my fancy while i sip the soup.
